Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe's True Wonder, is Back!

Victoria Falls—Travel Trade Update

Following the revision of certain travel advisories on Zimbabwe, coupled with increased

media attention on the post election situation, there are understandably some concerns being raised.

We take this opportunity to assure our supply trade that the reality on the ground is that

Victoria Falls remains 100% peaceful, calm and welcoming.

The actuality in Victoria Falls is as follows:

-     Victoria Falls is a tourist town, entirely dependent on the industry for its livelihood.  This is well appreciated by all in the small Victoria Falls community whose collective priority is to ensure that all visitors have a positive and memorable stay.

-     Geographically far removed from the main centres, Victoria Falls operates as a

microcosm and remains largely unaffected by issues affecting other areas of the country.

-     2008 arrivals continue to grow month-on-month when compared to 2007.

Businesses in Victoria Falls are running smoothly. Our feedback indicates that visitors are continuing to enjoy wonderful experiences, far exceeding their expectations, in a safe and relaxed environment. Visitor safety is of paramount importance to all Victoria Falls operators and we assure you that we will keep you regularly updated on developments.

We thank you for your confidence in us and continued valued support.
